Al-Khiran Pearl City called for bold creation of artificial waterways and shoreline within a highly sensitive estuarine setting. Channeling Arabian Gulf waters into desert lowlands raised complex challenges—from water quality and flushing to anaerobic conditions and ecosystem stability. Layered with strict regulation, legacy oil contamination, and fast-track approvals, the project demanded science-driven solutions delivered with speed and precision.
